 The Monadnock Expandable Baton (MEB) Program consists of a Basic and Advanced Course. The Basic Course Certification Program is a 4-hour course of the straight expandable baton. The Advanced Certification Program is an 8-hour course that deals with the blocking and striking capabilities of the baton, but also teaches control and takedown techniques to mirror the two-prong philosophy of Protect & Restrain. Participants are certified after demonstrating the minimum acceptable performance standards (MAPS) and the ability to instruct.
