 This Basic / Advanced Firearm course is designed to give the beginner or novice shooter the basic shooting skills and practical foundation necessary to become familiar with shooting a handgun. We will introduce you to the fundamentals that are necessary for safe and proper handling of your pistol or revolver. Beginner fundamentals such as stance grip, sight alignment, etc are the order of the day. Each participant will be equipped with the knowledge of the traditional front sight rule, how to safely draw, handle, store, maintain and operate the basic handgun. Participants receive a certificate of training after demonstrating the minimum acceptable performance standards. This is a 16 hour course.
The following items will be needed for the course:
- SEMI-AUTO and 2 magazines
- Revolver pistol w/ 2 speed loaders.
- Eye and ear protection
- Belt, Holster, and at least two magazine pouches
- 250 rounds of ammunition minimum (this will ensure student has enough ammo as some students may shoot more than others based on shooting speed)
- Baseball style hat
- Knee and elbow pads recommended
- Sunscreen and insect repellant, water and towel

The advanced firearms curriculum includes managing malfunctions, perfecting the draw and maintenance of the weapon. If you are defensive minded and struggling shooter or you just want to solidify your current skill base. This is a 16 hour course.
